The three organizations have pledged to work in cooperation on selected projects and events that will help to disseminate knowledge, advance research, and urge policy change.
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF), the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases (ESCEO) and the International Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology (IAGG) have agreed to work in partnership with regard to collaboration on research, education, training, and in raising public and policy-maker awareness in the field of musculoskeletal aging and its functional consequences.
IOF CEO Philippe Halbout stated,
IOF greatly welcomes the opportunity to partner with ESCEO and the IAGG on various projects in the coming years. As organizations we share a common vision in which older people enjoy healthy, independent, and active lives. Each organization brings to the table complementary expertise which will help us take advantage of synergies to advance our mutual goals.”
